WANTED:   Exclusiv Pony Folding Bike posted by: Vaughn on 6/24/2008 at 7:14:52 PM
I have a chance to buy a Exclusiv Pony Folding Bicycle at an estate sale.
Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the value, age, origin etc. It is all intact but the paint very faded and with overall wear from use and age. Would be buying for the sole purpose of resale. Any info would be helpful and much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Vaughn

MISC:   Can Anyone Help Identify My Tandem? posted by: allison gigantelli on 6/17/2008 at 1:38:10 PM
The bike has no serial number, names, or anything. It's a very old tandem bike that has been painted a few times. I would really appreciate if someone could help me figure out what brand it probably is.
Thank you!

One chance of identifying the maker is to compare chainwheels (the large sprockets the chain runs on) with pictures of other bikes whose makers are known. Try looking at pictures from 1955 - 65 on nostalgic.net. It could be newer but almost certainly not older. I base my guess on the apparent wheel size (26x1.75) and what I can see of the front fork. Your saddles and grips are probably later, and the paint hurts the value.

If you can get $200 for it, consider yourself lucky. There are lots of old unknown American tandems out there and not many people seem to want them.

I would have guessed half that. Unknown, repainted, some add-ons, and not balloon-era or older.
