WANTED:   Chainguard for Schwinn Twinn posted by: Kevin on 4/3/2008 at 7:39:55 AM
Hello -- I'm looking for a chainguard for my Schwinn Twinn -- it's a five-speed middleweight but I think the guard is the same as one for a coaster Twinn. The paint condition is not important. Please send price and photo. Thanks!

MISC:   Old tandem tires posted by: Charlie Lindridge on 3/23/2008 at 2:41:53 PM
I have a 1948 Royal Nord Tandem, Presidente model made in Belgium. Tires are 26x1 3/4 BSF 12. So far it looks as if S7 will fit but until I try this size does anyone know a changeover tire size or where the BSF 12 could be found?
Any information on the bicycle itself would be appreciated too. Found lots of info on Royal Nord motorcycles and mopeds but nothing on tandems. Except for the tires the tandem will restore with cleaning and polishing wonderfully.
Thanks, Charlie Lindridge

If you buy it and want to only display the machine, tubular reproduction tires are available from a company in Virginia? If you plan to use/ ride there are modern tires that may fit 700C 45 cycle cross glue on tubular tires may fit antique 28 inch wooden rims. As to the value of this tandem check past sales at Copake bicyle auctions that have been held for several years in up sate NY. Archives may be available on the 'net. paul
