I have a friend with a CCM Imperial tandem, original condition. I'm assuming it's a Mark IV from what I've found on the web. I'm trying to help them establish a value as they are wanting to sell it (they are now well into their 70's).
Also, where are the best locations to post and try & sell this tandem? It's located in the Greater Toronto Area (Oakville, Ontario, Canada).

Thanks
Lindsey

Your best bet would be to sell it locally (Craig's List, e.g) because shipping a big bike like that is very expensive - probably more than the bike is worth. Luckily, it's in Toronto instead of Nowheresville! Value? I doubt that there's much collector interest in a lower end tandem like this - I'd guess no more than about $200 US. Look at comparable bikes on Ebay (Schwinn Twinn, e.g.) and see what they have fetched.

I sold my CCM Imperial 700 for $100 and could have gotten around $200 for it due to response/demand. I have a CCM Imperial Mark 1V and am restoring it.

Hello,
I came across a Mobo Tot-Cycle and I know very little about its worth. Can anyone be of assistance. I can send a picture, if that will help.
Thank you

Interesting little bike, one of the smallest 'real' bicycles I have seen. i had one a couple years ago and sold it for $100 or so. There's a good Mobo toy website on the net.

FOR SALE:   Peugeot Tandem Bicycle posted by: Michael on 7/18/2007 at 11:00:41 AM
I am looking for information about the bicycle--please drop me a line if you are interested or can point me in the right direction. It appears rather old and is in good condition. I want to see this bicycle go to a collector--I have too many already.
Thanks!
Michael

What's your location?Tandems are a bit expencive to ship and a local pick up might help if someone is interested in it.Wheel size and frame sizing might help also.French tandems are usually very good road touring tandems---sam

Thanks to Sam for encouraging me to get my T&C 3-speed project done. I had found a steel 650B rim to go with my AB hub and heavy spokes at Memory Lane. I finally put it all together yesterday and what a diff! It finally goes fast and the new brake is far superior to the Union drum with worn-out linings that it replaced. I'll post a pic soon.

And check out Ebay # 200128901701. A nice Sport Twinn with an interesting chain tensioner - a chainwheel of appropriate size rolling in the timing chain! I had seen Renold Chain's "Roly Rings," plastic wheels to do the same job and wondered if they might be useful for this application.
