I have broken the aluminum(?) nut mechanism on my vintage Rekord folding bike that locks the frame in an open position. I was having difficulty in pulling the pin to collapse the bike and unintentionally put too much pressure on the nut. It snapped off. I can provide photos if helpful. I am looking for a replacement part or some solution to repair this condition. Please help. by: 64.12.116.16
you may need to find a machine shop that is local to you that can make you another bolt to fit ... cannot think of anywhere else to look except E bay but I am sure you must have tried that already ... by: 4.152.237.105

I'm pleased to find this new discussion area! I've made some changes to an old CCM tandem. The brakes and wheels got a rather radical upgrade, and it's also now sporting a 3-speed: http://drumbent.blogspot.com/2006/07/tandem-fun.html Cheers, Mark by: 216.99.54.8
