FOR SALE:   Magnesium "Flower" Mag's posted by: Kevin on 7/17/2003 at 12:38:39 AM
I have a set of original flower mag's for a 20" schwinn. I'm told these are very rare now! I bought them new, and they are serial numbered. 1974, I think. Everyone, at the time, was buying the plastic mag's. The Schwinn "Scrambler" was the big thing, cause they were the new bike on the market and had the newest, coolest rims available. of course, I had to be diferent! I have never seen another set "FLOWER mags. They are made of magnesium (alloy). If anyone has any info on these rims or theeir value, please let me know !! lswi@aol.com
thanks for reading.......

this is kinda like writing a note, placing it a bottle , and throwing it into the ocean. Then waiting for a return message> Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!!

MISC:   What is this bike worth? posted by: Mary Robinson on 6/30/2003 at 1:37:49 AM
My son bought a bike at a flea-market for one dollar last summer. He has been riding it all year (snow and all), He was offered $50.00 for it today, I am just wondering why!
The bike says that it was made in 1978, it also says "Kia Hi-Riser".
Any information on this bike would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mary

CLUBS:   what do i do??!! posted by: christian on 6/21/2003 at 1:19:08 AM
i started a cruiser/classic/custom bike club, we've had a few meetings, i wanted to know what all goes on in a bike club? any ideas or suggestions would be fanfreakintastic!!!
i looked for other clubs but all i can find are mountian bike clubs, blah. (my group you have to have LESS than 3 speeds to join)

RE:CLUBS:   what do i do??!! posted by Jeremy on 6/21/2003 at 6:10:47 PM
How about putting on a bike show or a swap meet. Go on weekend rides in different locations with club members. Get a booth at a local fair or something to get your club seen.
It all depends on what you want to do with your club. I know of clubs where its just a bunch of friends that hang out and bullshit all day.
How about a club project bike. Each member build a different piece.
Anyway, good luck with your club!

The brake shoes in my bedix coaster brake are glazed so the bike does not stop very well. If I lightly sand off the glaze
with emery paper will that restore the shoe? Also, How tight do I reassemble the brake against the bearings? Is ther some spcific

WANTED:   ID help posted by: Michele Cochran on 6/1/2003 at 2:58:15 AM
This is what it is/ 60'S 70'S SKY WAGON TANDEM BIKE. This bike has marking (Nissan Cycle Co LTD) # EY83876N. This Tandem is in very good condition and is all original with a small ding on wheel fender. I have never heard on a Nissan bike company. Is there any place to buy parts for this bike? What is it worth? Or any other info would be very helpful . Thank you Michele

RE:WANTED: ID help posted by George on 5/7/2005 at 3:28:02 AM
I have a Sky Wagon 10 speed touring bike and I have not found any reference to the Nissan Cycle co. anywhere on the net except here. Parts seem to be standard (Shimano), but I am having problems figuring out how to restore the control cables for the derailers. Lots of luck and drop me a line when you find some info on this company
