MISC:   1977 Columbia boys bike posted by: Andrew Matthews on 12/1/2000 at 8:12:08 AM
I found a 1977 columbia boys bike that was in its original carton that has been sitting there 16 years. I bought it and assemble it. It has a sticker on it saying 100th Centennial year for Columbia. Its a 20in with a bannana seat. It,s orange and black. This bike is now 23 years old and never riden. With this sticker on it what do you believe this bike is worth? Thank You.

If you put this message in the Musclebike discussion area you might find some information on it. I think I have heard of that bike before. Look on EBAY for one and if you do not find it under current auctions check completed items.

The serial number on your Pixie is most probably located at the left rear dropout; i.e., the dropout is where the rear wheel's axel slides in.
By the way, we have a couple of Pixies, and, we cannot, for the life of us, get a rough idea of how much a Pixie is worth.
The reason we can tell you with a reasonalble assurance where your serial is is that yours may be covered over with paint.
Can you give us a ball park idea of the value of a Pixie ?

I am also researching vigorously for information pertaining to Schwinn Pixies. Could you tell me if this is possibly the serial number- Dr550870; as well as what that tells you? More specifically, the year of the bicycle and possibly a ball park estimate of it's value. I would appreciate it very much; Thank you.

Those numbers were destoryed in a fire i don't think you will ever find a list. You have to research and figure out as close as you can.
