I have four vintage bikes I need to sell , we have a bike shop that we are retiring from and these bikes I have saved from being destroyed but now its time to let someone else enjoy them. #1 is a Schwinn Typhoon 2 speed all original and in pretty fair condition. #2 Is a Da vega from the 30s with inch pitch chain it was made by Schwinn for the atlas hardware company I am told and it is a Reggie Mcmillan roadster 26 inch . #3 is a 20 inchd sting ray style columbia green and in very good condition with the 3 spd shifter in the bar, #4 is a Korean war army courier bike that is in rough condition but you can still see the OD green paint with the white stars on it and part of the " US Army " stensil on the fender. You can contact me for Photos if interested. Thank You Barry Cochran

I have a High wheel bicycle that appears to be a replica because it has some hex nuts and it also has some allen screws. That is what leads me to believe that it is a replica. Maybe someone replaced the old square nuts with newer? Not sure but it does have a decal on it (another clue) that says "The Unforgetable big wheel, on lake shore dr. Chicago, Illinois". It has some rust. Mostly on the wheels. The tires are solid and in tact. It has wooden hand grips. This bike is for sale in Southern California. If anyone is interested, please email me. Thank You, JT
There was one just like it on ebay last week. I believe it was in Chicago. It is a replica.
Hi John, What you have is definitely a reproduction. One made maybe in the very early 80's or late 70's. I've been trying to track down the maker of these bikes for several years and yours is only the second one I have ever seen with a headbadge. If you could send me the address and phone number from the headbadge, I'd appreciate it. They may be obsolete but I still want to investigate. One just like yours sold on eBay this week for $511 plus freight. Regards, Greg Barron Rideable Bicycle Replicas Inc. 510-769-0980
Hi I am looking for Hi-Wheeling maverics who are interested in trying to re-engineer the Hi-wheeler. I have been working on some frame designs as well as wheel concepts. I want one so bad I will just make it. Now if I can figure out how to make a 56" air filled tire? I'm working on it. If you want to colaborate shoot me an e-mail
Hi, I saw your post and I have a replica (I think) of a high wheel bike for sale. It has a decal on it that says something like Old Chicago bicycle company or something. It's a bit rusty and needs some pedals added to the crank but other wise, it is pretty solid. Maybe you could put your pneumatic tire on it. It does have a good solid tire on it. If you are interested, shoot me an email. Thanks, JT ... jtthwaits@yahoo.com
