AGE / VALUE:   Columbia Track Bicycle? posted by: Rick on 11/12/2006 at 5:01:49 PM
I have a late 1920's Columbia Racer that I was told was originally a track bike. The crankset and chain appear to be original, but are 1/2 pitch by a fat 3/16! While I realize bicycles of this vintage usually have 1 inch, skip-tooth pitch, is a 1/2 pitch set up possibly stock on a vintage American track bike? Thanks, Rick

UPDATE! I did some more online research and have verified that the bike is a 1936 Columbia Racer in Brewster Green and that the 1/2 pitch drivetrain is original. Thanks, Rick

FOR SALE:   1897 King high wheeler posted by: Travis Wheeler on 11/11/2006 at 9:15:08 PM
I have a mostly complete high wheeler that believe was manufactured in the late 1800s. Made by King (Chicago) and having a rather unique ratcheting pedal that pulls a chain to rotate the hub. Comes with 2 wheels, but needs a seat and handlebars, and restoration, of course. If you have information about this bicycle, or are interested in it, please email me at tawheeler1@cs.com

I have an Iver Johnson Truss Bridge Frame serial #459447. I'm wondering what year it was manufactured? What rims should it have?, What seat?, Fenders painted or nickel?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

I picked up what looks like a middle to late 1900's bicycle. The head badge on it is intact, and displays a Buckeye bicycle co. logo. I have searched high and low and can't come up with anything. Please help. I also have another 60 bicycles to go through. muddywater04@yahoo.com EVERYTHING IS FOR SALE
