In 1973 my grampa found a used Stingray style chopper and fixed it up for me (my parents couldnt afford to buy me a bike). It looked like a Raleigh MK1 with a 3 speed stick shifter in the middle and a very high back banana seat. It was orange and had a wide flat crossbar with the words "The Wedge" written on it. Does anyone know who it was made by or where I might find one? Thx ...Shane by: 99.228.19.33
They did not produce a stingray trike. The only trike schwinn produced was the town and country. My advise is to remove the trike add on and keep it original. by: 76.115.147.30
I'm in love with an old schwinn cotton picker stingray trike. Where they ever produced as trikes or was this something that was customized? by: 69.183.243.177
Schwinn never made any 20" trike; the Krate series, including the Cotton Picker introduced in 1970, are technically 'customized Stingrays.' by: 75.39.229.108
I have moved into a smaller house, and do not have the room to keep all my bikes inside. I am selling a few of them to make room. I know people say, "put them outside." But with the southern humidity we have here, I don't want them to start rusting, so they are kept indoors. I have a 1940's skip tooth chain men's 26" Schwinn bicycle, balloon tires. No tank or rear rack. Black and white in color. Paint is in good condition, considering the age of the bike. I am asking $250.00, and would rather not ship it, due to the fact I am a female and I don't have the energy to take it apart to ship. I would, however, meet someone half way for $50.00 extra dollars for gas. I will drive within a two hundred mile radius. I live in Crestview, Fl. which is between Pensacola and Tallahassee FL. Call me on my cell phone for more information if you like. Or email me. 850-232-0836. Thanks Charlotte by: 72.205.210.55
