I have an original old Chopper push bike that was given to me about 20-years ago so I am thinking it must be around 30-years old. It looks like a copy of a Raleigh Chopper made in Taiwan by Lucky Five Bestcycle. It has the chainguard and front brake assembly missing but otherwise is very original including the Lubao 3-speed changer. The chrome is sad and the paint is dull but the seat is good. Is it worth anything as is and is it worth doing up? I have not seen another one the same apart from the Raleigh Choppers on Ebay. by: 203.217.12.168
My parents bought this stingray new for my brother then was given to me about 1975 I repainted it a couple times. I don't remember witch model it was. The serial # is MF31432 Was it built in December 1970 is this right? can you tell witch model from the serial # by: 71.38.32.199
Hiya, Your right about the built date and no you cannot tell what model it is from the serial number. The only Stingrays built in 1975 were....Sting-Ray (1-speed and 5-speed) in Flamboyant Red or Yellow. It could of been built for the 1976 market which means it could be one of these!...... Sting-Ray (1-speed, 3-speed and 5-speed) in Flamboyant Red, Sky Blue, White (with Bicentennial decals) or Yellow. by: 86.149.85.108

The '76 R/W/B scheme was carried out on most Schwinn models from that year. It does add value to your stingray since the color scheme was one year only and were not produced in big numbers by: 68.53.48.93
Does anyone know for sure what type of pedals came on a 71 Cotton Picker or....where I could get that info? by: 76.243.66.94
