I FOUND A ROSS 20 INCH BANANA SEAT BIKE TODAY IN THE TRASH. GREEN POLO. WHITE SEAT SHORT SISSYBAR. ROUGH SHAPE, BUT VERY FIXABLE. MY NEXT PROJECT.

When I was 8 or 9 yrs old I got this fantastic bike for Christmas. I have not been able to find any info or pictures of it as of yet. It looked like a motorcycle. It had the vrrroom motor, gas tank, front and rear shocks. The frame was designed so as to make it look like dual exhausts. It had fat semi-off road looking tires. The seat was like a motorcycle seat. It was definately the dream of every kid in our small town. I lived 3 miles out in the country from the nearest town. I rode it into to town on Christmas day to show it off!
Any info and especially picture would be great! I have been telling my now 25 year old son about it and he would like to see it. I got it Christmas 1964 or 65 maybe?

Mattel Stallion or Bronco. Chrome frame, rear shocks, some had gas tanks and the Mattel Vrrroom motor. You see them
on EBay once and a while. Usually pretty tough shape. Very rare bike.

My parents still have my 1964 Mattel Bronco bicycle. My dad was into motorcycles at the time and he bought the bronco for me because it looked like a motorcycle. Mine did not have the Varoom motor. Mine is in good shape and I still ride it occationally. I remember that it cost 49.95 when it was new. I wonder what it would bring today? Any idea? thanks.

Hi I have one that I got new I think i got it from Montgomery wards?It was black and white and my oldest son wanted it red and black the school colors and now my younst son wasnts it back to black and white so this summer it will get changed.My bike is the bronco that is just like a motorcycle.

I WAS LOOKING ON PRICE GRABBERS.COM , AND CAME ACROSS A NEW SCHWINN BICYCLE CALLED "EL-DORADO " I WAS A 20 INCH BIKE LIKE A STINGRAY, SPRINGER FORK LIKE A KRATE. ALL GOLD HANDLEBARS, AND HARDWARE. THE RIMS HAD FANNED SPOKES .IT HAD A COOL LOOKING TANK LIKE FEATURE, WITH GRAPHICS .SHORT SISSYBAR. IT WAS LISTED UNDER SCHWINN BICYCLES ON PRICE GRABBERS.COM FOR $190.00. LOOKED PRETTY COOL. Interesting......Can't tell if it is Schwinn or not. The description says it has Schwinn tires. Also there is a ? mark after the Schwinn name indicating the seller does not know for sure. If you find one let us know if it says Schwinn on the frame.

AFTER LOOKING AT THE BIKE AGAIN, I AM GONNA SAY THAT I THINK THIS IS NOT A SCHWINN MADE BIKE. I HAVE CHECKED THE SCHWINN WEBSITE AND IT SEEMS TO BE A LITTLE OUT DATED. NO MENTION OF THIS BIKE. I HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE ON THE WEB AND CANNOT FIND THIS BIKE ANYWHERE.
