It's an hour each way, there'll be stairs to get up and down it'll be hot with sweat dripping, I'll hit my head on the roof beams, the thing is purple, a vintage 60's musclebike all intricatate with the original 5 speed shifter. It's rare as all get out but the thing is missing the wheels! The flipping wheels are gone, they are not there! The agony and tired-ness of it all, the weariness clashed with the coolness of the bike I studied it well but my frazzled mind cannot remember the name and model of the bike . Monday. I go for it Monday. I'll pick it up. Today I brought home rims that nobody will want. I brought the small parts and rims and left the cool bike for later. It was dumb and I knew better. He's getting out of bikes but my attempt at buying all the tools failed again. by: 68.41.206.53
Ok, have my hands on it. It's a Sears Screamer. Pix of it will be on the bay soon. Nice! But missing the wheels. by: 68.41.206.53
Why two brakes on the rear wheel? This is all original even the derailer and in great shape. by: 68.41.206.53
Interesting question.... and I can only offer a presumption in response.... Back when I was a kid, it was "Way COOL" to get rolling as fast as you could and then SLAM on your coaster brake..... skidding wildly and striping the pavement with rubber. Imagine my chagrin when I found out I couldn't do that with the rear handbrake on my Columbia Playbike.... So... perhaps that's why the dual brakes in the rear? Not sure if that IS the issue... but.... it makes some sort of sense to me..... Screamers though... are certainly... "Way COOL"! Regards! Larry "Boneman" Bone by: 193.38.171.31
