I have an Atala 10 speed bike with fenders. It has mostly Atala components; however the derailleru is a Simplex Competion derailleur mounted on the seat post tube. I am restoring this bicycle and would like to know how to adjust this peculiar chainwheel derailleur. Can anyone help. by: 64.149.135.109
I stumbled onto a well used old A-D bike with 24" frame today that has been repainted with wild component substitutions and apparently used as a courier bike in Salt Lake. I would like to find out the model so I can repaint and detail it more authentically. I have the serial number. Does anyone know a site that I can search the SN to find out when it was made and what its original components might have been? Many thanks. by: 76.27.100.252
Hi, Im looking for a 1960's or 1970's 24" or 26" frame Schwinn Superior, Sierra, Sports Tourer or Super Sport. I'm also open to a clean Continental. Please let me know. Thanks, Patrick by: 198.208.159.19
I have a circa 1971 24" frame Schwinn Continental here in Orlando. It is in showroom condition including original tires and handlebar wrap. Metallic brown. Call me on your next trip to Disney World. $88 in current $. At this price I'm loathe to disassemble and ship. Bonus from original owner: "security" chain w. combination lock sheathed in matching color housing. by: 64.136.27.231
Looks like "DICK" in Fla. Is living up to his name. He says "call me" yet leaves no phone number and no e-mail. Why do these people bother us? by: 198.208.159.19
Maybe asking Dick to email you might be the first step before plunging that knife in his back? Not that he would be inclined to do so now. If he doesn't. it wasn't meant to be. Happens all the time. by: 24.222.150.46
Why do I guess the combination to the lock is unknown? by: 216.15.114.27
Probably just congenital scepticism on your part. It's known! Unfortunately, Warren had the correct take on this listing, so there probably won't be any further developments. by: 64.136.27.231
My guess is the whole bike is unknown. Maybe Dick could buy a TV by: 198.208.159.19
Patrick, you're wrong. Dick has been in FL a long time, has contributed materially to this board a long time, and has had reasonable discourse with people who show courtesy. Keep a civil tongue in your head. by: 209.7.150.163
How much is a raleigh international in mostly orginal good shape worth? by: 76.115.97.43
Internationals are popular. Check ebay for recent prices and compare condition to yours. by: 216.15.114.27
i checked ebay there is only a frame that has been chromed. mine has sidepull brakes and 3 ttt bars and stem. but rest seems to be original. the paint shows normal wear and some light surface rust on the chrome. I think it is a 71. thanks for your help by: 76.115.97.43
Go to advanced search and look at completed auctions. There isn't much there right now. Condition is everything, but it would have to be really exceptional to go 4 figures. by: 216.15.114.27
Would like to know value of this bicycle. Have original documents; model 503.46211; age apprx. 1955-58 Thanks for your help. by: 205.188.117.70
I suspect it's a roadster although it says lightweight. Value is always dependant on condition, components, originality, accessories etc; the devil's in the details. Generally these bikes are worth $20 to $200. by: 24.222.150.46
