That should decode to May of 1983. What are the four digits stamped into your headbadge? Is this your bike?

A very high end road bike. Easy to fix..easy to sell too. It may ride differently than your current bike but if it fits, why not?

MISC:   Louts Leger Triatholon Series posted by: August on 3/22/2008 at 10:15:30 AM
A good while back I picked up a like new Lotus Leger Triatholon Series bike. Have done some searches on Lotus and have never seen this model or series mentioned. It has a 7000 aluminum frame and eliptical gearing. Wish it were a bit smaller as the frame is just a tad too tall/long for me to ride comfortably. (Was just one of those purchases because it looked so darned nice.)

That is LOTUS, not Louts. My bad.

I have an old Montgomery Ward hawthorne aluminum bike. One speed. Looks just like a Monark Silver King. What years did Monark make them for Montgomery Ward. The condition is very good.

NICE find! The chainguard and fenders are a rare thing to find. My guess early 70s. Where do you live? Ed
