Anyone.. I need info on a vintage bike. I tried looking for Foremost bikes but cant find much. HOw much is my bike worth? if you know about Foremost bikes please email me and I will email you a pic of the bike so you can give me more info... by: 66.74.161.14
To find out how much it's worth, put it on ebay and see what you're offered. Generally, department store brand bikes have little value to collectors. If it's a rebranded English-built bike it might be worth as much as $100, but that's unlikely. by: 216.15.114.27
i recently bought an early 60's px-10. i would love to use the derailuer hanger but it's not threaded. anyone know what came originally on this and what i may be able to purchase instead? possibly just tap the drop out and thread it myself? by: 208.120.243.213
Simplex derailleurs were designed to fit this style of hanger. A little research should show which models were appropriate. They are on ebay all the time and are somewhat affordable. At least you don't need an early 50's model. Then you can pay a grand for NOS units. Everything you wnat to know about PX-10's is here. http://www.classicrendezvous.com/images/French/PX-10.htm by: 24.224.141.224
Nice bike! Those are worth a bundle if in good condition, so be very careful about irreversible modifications. If you don't want to use a Simplex derailleur and also don't want to thread the hanger, consider using a slightly longer mounting bolt with a nut on the back side of the hanger. Tapping the hanger is a reasonable option, if done VERY carefully. by: 66.185.168.82
This followed me home. I would like to identify the model and see photos as I have some decals to replace. It is very light steel but has a 105 group. It seems as light as my Reynolds 531 bikes. The tube set is Tubi Oria .8. I appreciate any help. Ron by: 75.67.133.117
If what I have garnered on the web today is true, the bike is a 1990 based on the tube set Oria TC 0.8 which was only used for 1990-1992 and the TDF victory on the decal saying 1988 as opposed the 1990. This was the tubing used for the 1990-1993 steel bikes used for some segments of the TDF. Unfortunately the only Pinarello catalogs I have found go through 1989 and does not include this bike. Does anyone have a 1990 catalog? by: 12.104.1.106
