Looking for a reputable dealer to order a lowrider online. New to the lowrider craze and the only place that I have stumbled across so far is Ridable Bicycle Replicas. They seem to have a nice assortment of bikes which would easily fit my requirements. Is this the best place to get one?? LMK. Thanks, Tim P.
Hi Tim, I usually order my Bikes and parts @ http://www.lovelylowrider.com . I never had any problems with them. Also, I want to check out http://www.hiwheel.com, because they have those 24K-Plated stuff. I hope their stuff is of a good quality. Will see. I know of http://www.zenital.com/prod02-bajitas.htm - but somebody told me that they don't have that good quality. Best Quality but highest prices and a poor assortment has http://www.aztlanbicycle.com/ Hope this helped. Cheers. Sebastian

hi there, i am interested in getting an older adult tricycle. i've seen really nice schwinn town and country tricycles and i like the look of those. i am looking for a tricycle in fair condition with fenders. does anyone know how much these go for? or places to look for them? or do you have one for sale? thanks! post here or email. tiffini
I see them in Thrift Stores in the winter. Not too common but they do show up for $50 - $100 or so. I have never seen a Schwinn show up in the last 10 years!

I know you can paint a bike with automotive paint(and house paint, hehe)but can you paint out of a spray can from a store,I know its possible. My model cars turn out great with out model car paint.Enamel would probably work best from can,and youll have to put lots of clear coat on it right?has there ever been a guy who has painted out of areosol can who has won a prize???????????I know you can paint a bike with automotive paint(and house paint, hehe)but can you paint out of a spray can from a store,I know its possible. My model cars turn out great with out model car paint.Enamel would probably work best from can,and youll have to put lots of clear coat on it right?has there ever been a guy who has painted out of areosol can who has won a prize???????????
Joshua, I understand that the paint can of choice by some collectors is KRYLON spray paint. I beleive there is a subject on this in Jim Wilsons web site bikerodnkustom. Or just go scroll down to the bicycle links on this web site, and you will find the BR&K web site.
Joshua, I always paint my Bikes with SprayPaintCans. I usually use Belton, Sparvar or DupliColor Cans - that's all I can get here in Germany. I heard about Krylon, but I never used them so far. You can even get Gold-, Chrome- and Pearl-Metal-Flakes out of a SpraypaintCan - really nice! I even found some "Candy-style" paint in Cans - nice 4 effects. I don't know if a "Spraypaint-Can-painted" Bike ever won a Show - but it should be possible when done correctly. Cheers. Sebastian °LowStylez B.C. Hamburg, Germany°
Thanks guys,I think im going to paint my bike with dupli colrs new mirage paint,It changes colors,I havent seen too many bikes like that.
Dupli-color is good paint.I've used it.Can't say any spray can bike won a prize but I do know of one that was spraye caned for a movie, only had to look good 50 feet away!
I've used automotive paint and spray gun, and done a really rotten job of it. I've used spray can paint, and done a fabulous job. The key to any paint job is prepping it properly. The nice aspect of spray cans is that there aren't as many ways to screw up, as with a spray gun. I found all those ways back in the day, when I painted my Alfa Romeo Spider with Camaro Orange. It was so rough, someone asked me if that was the primer!
I purchased Dupli colors new mirage paint as seen in lowrider biycles summer issue. It is really nice paint,It changes green to gold to purple and orange. When the paint gets laid im going to have It pinstriped by Curt bacon,A guy who can really make some custom stuff, including aluminum mags for my bike!!
I USED A SPRAY CAN PLASTI-KOTE COMPATITION KOLORS CANDY FLAKE BLUE ON MY 69 LOWRIDER STINGRAY WITH THE OG BLACKWATER DECALS I TOOK HOME 2ND PLACE IN STREET CUSTOM AT A LOCAL CAR SHOW, IT JUST MATTERS HOW GOOD YOU ARE WITH A SPRAY CAN AND WHAT ELSE YOU HAVE ON YOUR RIDE.
Check out our new website at www.hiwheel.com. For lowrider bicycle parts choose lowriders on the menu bar and then peruse the new parts lists. If you want to order please email me and let me know you heard about us on the old roads discussion board.
