So I'm thinking about buying a schwinn hollywood from a some woman for $30. The only thing is that it's missing handlebars, and the chain, sprocket, and bottom bracket need to be replaced. I'm trying to find out where I can find these pieces (not in great condition either, i'm looking for a bargain) so I can sum up how much it will cost in general, along with the $30, to see if it will be worth it, or if I should pay the $15 fare to go to a bike shop in the state where I live and get a $60 or $70 dollar vintage bike there, ready to ride.

Those parts should not be hard to find, since they would be the same on lots of Schwinns of the same vintage. You could try Mark Smith at bunchobikes.com -there's an email address there. You need to be able to state the wheel size and the serial number and its location on the bike, and your location and how concerned you are with an exact match.
