I'm looking for information and parts concerning the the bicycle I received for my birthday. It is a 1950s J C Higgins either "Bat Wing" or "Color Flow" bicycle, for females. I don't know the difference, (is there one?). I am looking to purchase 1. the "Bat Wing" head light 2. the "Jeweled" canteen 3. the chain guard by: 69.239.49.122
The bicycle is the Color Flow. The term "Batwing" is used to describe the headlight because of its shape. It came in a headlight only version and a combination version housing a horn and light. Best bet for parts is Ebay. I may have a Batwing light (handlebar mount). Does your bike have a spring fork or truss rods? by: 74.249.209.32
I am searching for any information I can find on a bicycle I have owned for years, but know very little about. I do know it is a Dutch made bike, but that is where my knowledge ends. I've listed all of the markings below, as well as photos. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated, including possible year, value, etc. Gazelle Populair "Silver Seal" stamped on chain guard Serial Number GM 027257 "8" stamped into the frame under the seat "Gazelle RJwielfabriek Dieren" on front emblem
did you find this? http://www.rijwiel.net/gazellee.htm by: 209.7.150.163
From the info, it looks as though it might be a 1980, and would have been a TI relative, so I wonder whether there's any notable connection. Does it have a three speed hub? I couldn't view your photo. Would you email it to me? by: 209.7.150.163
Thanks, Ken. I have e-mailed some photos to you. by: 71.79.145.216
Hi. I was looking for a 1930's era Raleigh crank for my 28" Raleigh. Someone put a replacement crank on my bike and the original chain does not mesh smoothly with the teeth on the replacement crank. If anyone knows where I can purchase one please let me know. Thanks in advance. Regards, TJA by: 167.206.189.3
