Hi, I am customizing my electra cruiser and modleing it after a JC Higgins era bike. I am looking for a JC Higgins rear rack. Does anyone know where I can find one or maybe you have one for sale? MISC:   Question on Classic Racer Gearing posted by: Patrick Hartigan on 7/12/2007 at 1:41:23 PM
All - Can anyone tell me the typical gearing, in inches, for a vintage (1920's) era racing bike, say for a mountainous stage of the TDF? We all know that the riders employed a flip-flop hub, with a fixed gear for the flats and rollers and a lower gear on a freewheel for the steep climbs and descents.

Your assistance is appreciated!

WANTED:   Bronco Bicycle - NOT MATTEL posted by: Karyn Tighe on 7/12/2007 at 11:12:05 AM
My great great uncle Charlie Peterson of Minneapolis manufactured Peterson's Bronco Bicycles at the turn of the century (until he moved to Florida to raise ducks) I would love to find one of his bikes! His bikes were study models - no brakes. He also made a bucking bronco with tires warped and bent to buck the bike. Any help in finding out more would be appreciated! I have photos and learned to ride on one of his bikes.
