I have an adult Schwinn tricycle with rear wheels that have 24 1 /3/4 tires on them. They are gumwalls. I need to replace them and am trying to find new or used ones. If you have suggestions on where to find them or have some for sale, let me know. Can send a photo of what I need, just couldn't get it added to this message. Thanks. by: 66.167.182.183
are you sure the size is expressed as a fraction, not a decimal? Read: http://sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html The variety of "24 inch" wheel sizes is remarkable. Are you far from a bike shop? Ask them. by: 209.7.150.163
Located in Northwest Indiana. A 3 speed Western Flyer Tourist bicycle made in England - male, was in the attic of a house I recently bought. Serial number is 2904. I am trying to find as mush information as possible about this bike but I can't seem to find anything. What year was it made? How much is it worth to sell? Please email me for pictures as I haven't had a chance to get them yet but I plan to! by: 67.162.38.79
it almost certainly has a Sturmey-Archer rear hub with a year and month of manufacture on it. If it'solder than 1950 you can get excited. If it's closer to '60, the odds are good that it was made by the Raleigh conglomerate for US import, but who knows? There is a wealth of info on sheldonbrown.com on English 3-speeds, but he does not mention WF. The Classic and Antique Bicycle Exchange http://www.thecabe.com has an article about a prewar Western Flyer model built by Cleveland Welding and sold by Western Auto; my guess is Western Auto put their badge on several manufacturers' machines over the years. Later three-speeds aren't very collectible and usually go pretty cheap. There is no active link to upload pictures to the Oldroads picture database, but if you can post a link to your pictures we'd love to see them, and if you email the link to Vin he'll upload it. by: 209.7.150.163

I have a 1948 Raleigh "Superbe Dawn Tourist" bicycle which I bought new. I am looking for a mechanic in the Southern Calif Area that would be interested in the coverhal and refurbishment. Mechanically, the bike and its accessories work. I plan to keep the bike and ride it. by: 72.211.234.196
