Hi, I would like to buy an as original as possible, men's bike from the mid 70's that is not very expensive. A couple of my friends had one when I was a teen and I always loved them. I saw a picture of one in an ad for sale on Ebay. Link to pic below. I would really like the white one with the red & blue trim. Thanks.
There is a blue one sitting at my local Salvation Army Store. Buying it would be cheap, getting it shipped from north western ND would be expensive. by: 165.234.9.92
Shipping isn't the worse thing to me. It is just being sure that it is the right bike. I have been watching ebay for quite some time and have seen some models on there that are the upright, straight-handlebar type. I want the curly-bar road type. I haven't seen one on ebay yet to fit the bill. There is one on there right now that is really strange, it has an hydraulic braking system. I really don't want anything like that. by: 207.255.189.246
I'll see if I can get you a photo of the one at the SA store. by: 66.113.47.14
Took my camera and went to the SA store, but the bike was already gone. If they are any good, they don't last long at those prices. Sorry. by: 165.234.9.92
Hi Gordon, It really is awesome that you tried! Thank you so much for your efforts. I really do appreciate it. Bonnie by: 207.255.189.246
hey bonnie, I think I have one of those bikes you are talking about. Its a grayish color with white patches that have red and blue striping. Even if these bikes were inexpensive, I have held on to this bike because the frame is uncharacteristcally (sp?) light. I mean, this frame is super light. Its unreal that a frame this light was probably sold for so cheap (relatively) in the 1970s. I try to post a picture of it if you want? by: 74.128.154.110
Yes please, I would love to see it. Thanks. by: 207.255.189.246
