WANTED:Motobecane Nomade: Seat clamp & rear hanger posted by: Brent on 8/29/2006 at 6:11:06 AM
Hello there,

This is both a want ad and a sale ad :-)

I'm looking for a *functional* (doesn't even need to be Motobecane) replacement for a missing rear-brake hanger/cable guide for the rear brake. I think it might have originally been integrated in some way with the *also* missing seat clamp. (70s Motobecane, by the way.)

Right now I have a fabricated piece doing the job, but I'd like to sell this particular bike, and ... well, I think it would sell more easily with an at-least-kind-of-proper doo-dad at the rear.

By the way, the bike IS for sale, local pickup preferable if you're in the Denver, Colorado area. It's been fully-serviced -- about two months ago -- (it's a commuter bike, not a race bike, but it's fun: New Continental 27 / Duraskin tires; aluminum wheels, new bar tape, etc., -- Huret component set, quick-releases on the hubs, new cables all around, ready to be a nice commuter ...)

Oh. Yeah. I'm selling it because I got another vintage bike, and I only really need one. The other is more a pro racing bike, so ... here's a Nomade ... ready to ... wander!

Sincerely,
Brent

WANTED:   Smaller steel touring bike posted by: Josh on 8/28/2006 at 6:45:47 AM
Hi,
I'm searching desperately for a 49-51cm steel touring bike for my wife. I'd like a lugged steel frame, like my Trek 520 that has served me so well. Can anyone help me out?

I've got a 49 cm Nishiki Landau from circa 1977. I'm in Canada though, so shipping could be approx. $100 plus bike price of $100, depending on your location.
