| I have a bike that I bought a few years back because I wanted a plain old style bike - no speeds, no hand brakes, wider tires, not too tall. I don't know anything about bikes, except for what I like. However, I need some new tires and while looking on line for some, discovered that possibly I own an "antique". It is a J.C. Higgins (Sears) womans bike with 26 x 1/75 Goodyear tires on it. Thats all I know. I have no idea how old it is, just that I bought it used 10 years ago. Can anyone tell me more about this bike? Are they still made? Is it going to be hard to replace my tires? I love this bike... by: 68.43.52.133 |
| 1.75 tires date the bike to being manufactured after 1954. Collectible possibly, but surely not an antique. Tires are available most anywhere bike tires are sold. If you can't find them in your community, there are numerous places on the Internet. I have heard that Memory Lanes has nice whitewalls for a decent price. by: 66.97.233.116 |
