Chroming can be very expensive. Sometimes you are better off trying to buy original parts in good condition.

Trying to find OG parts in good condition can be a pain in the u-know-what, especially if they cost more than you're willing to spend. Even though chroming can be an expensive process, it's worth every penny in the long run if you don't mind doing so; having said that, check out all the plating services in your local area, compare prices as well as their customers' chromed items (classic autos [hotrods, lowriders, etc.], are some of their best clientele!)and go for the best quality.
