FOR SALE:   what year? posted by: Patrick on 5/11/2006 at 3:03:12 PM
I rode this bike for years in the south loop of Chicago. It's a Monark Model 4300 Serial No.A08 1005 I now live in Madison Wi. and I'm too old and it's too hilly for me to enjoy the ride. I was wondering, given this information, if someone could tell me the year and how difficult it would be to restore this bike seeing it's been used and has seen some wear. Thank you. ph

I don't know of any Monark serial number charts.
Have a look at the Monarks in the Picture Database here. That should help you narrow down the year.

FOR SALE:   Delta Gangway Horn... posted by: Scot on 5/11/2006 at 1:42:01 AM
I just came across a horn that is about 4", round, with a mounting tab on the bottom. I hit it with a 6V battery and it made a little noise. I tried to do some research on it and I'm guessing it came of a mid-30's Schwinn? Any help here? What's it from? What's it worth? I would appreciate any any input. THANKS!! SW
