| We cleaned our our uncle's basement and have a bicycle that I've had difficulty identifying. The serial number wasn't fully stamped so I can't read the 1st letter to identify the year and I haven't been able to find any pictures of "Columbia Sports 3" anywhere. Or any mention that Columbia has a Sports 3 model. But it's got a sticker on the side that has "Sports 3" on it - so I know that's right. I have a picture at: http://66.84.19.90/images/bike.jpg Looking to sell - but I wanted to first have the right year. The tire size is 24 x 1 3/8, male, original paint. The serial number is: First letter starts with the bend like a G or a C or a O - but the letter isn't fully stamped. Then it is 219 0041. Any ideas? Thanks. by: 68.234.86.24 |
| It's a department-store bike from the seventies, made of the cheapest steel and equipped with low-cost components. That's a Shimano three-speed hub. Ultra reliable but by no means rare. Possibly a trifle more interesting for the 24" wheels, but still a garage sale item. by: 207.112.224.113 |
