i found the weirdest schwinn frame the serial says 1963 but the problem is it looks like a normal schwinn but the seat stays are like a fastback and the cross bars are the weird part thier not attached to the seat stays and are strate not gently swooping like all i have seen please if you have info tell me i would really apperate it thanks

Sounds like a Typhoon. Does it have a bolt on kickstand instead of the usual welded housing?

Sounds more like a Tornado. On early Typhoons the cross bars are conected to the rear fork like a cantilever only they are straight were as a tornado has the cross bar welded just below the rear fork tube and the bars are paralell to the ground. I'm going to try and post a phot of one on this web site. E-mail me and I can send you a picture too..

I just won this and another bike from local auction site. Closest I can come to idenity after winning..... is a picture of Murray Missile. It has name "AMC" on tank and "Caravan" on chainguard. Also says "Messenger" on the back of seat. Can anyone tell me anything about it? (I had to spit on the tank paint to rub off enough of the spray paint to read "AMC." after I got it home.) TIA.
