i have a pretty good collection of jd bikes. They are not real collector bikes. Most are foreign made and not the best of bikes. The black one is the racer and hte nex to the least desired and fairly common. The white one is the least desired bike. The blue one"s are the most rare but don't go as high as the green ones because the blue color is not jd. They sell form $80.00 to $200.00 dollers depending on the location. you don"t find many in the south but can find them up north in the farm lands. they didn't sell well and some dealers gave them away if you bought a big piece of farm machinery. the 20" yellow one has been the best seller lately but don't know for what reason.

FOR SALE: 2- 1981 Bicycles

I have two bikes, both 1981, one a Mens Raleigh Transit 3 Speed, and a Ladie's British Eagle, by Falcon. They both work fine, and are in not bad shape. I am not a collector, by any means, so if someone out there is interested, let's talk, and maybe make an offer. I certain they could both be cleaned up to as new, with a little effort. Both are 100% intact with the exception of foot stands, and the men's has a good rat trap. Feel free to ask for photos. I'm on the West Coast of Canada, Thanks, Reg

Girls are worth less than boys. I see bikes like that for about $20 at thrift stores and flea markets, and maybe up to $100 or so on ebay. Ebay is funny, sometimes you get more, sometimes less.

MISC: Batavus intercycle bataford fold up bicycle
posted by: Tracy

I bought this bicycle a few years ago and have been curious about it ever since. It is a Batavus Intercycle Bata Fold bicycle> It is bright orange with a cream colored chain gaurd. It has levers that you turn to adjust the seat and to fold the bike in half you can also colapse or remove the handlebars with a similiar lever. It has no adjustable gears on it. It looks very old but the design is quite innovative for its suspected age. It is similiar to the newer collapsable bicycles that are available. I believe it to be at least from the 1950s? I really dont know for certain. I am riding it for exercise. Please let me know if anyone has any details about it. Thank you, Tracy
