MISC: Question about Schweinfurt bicycle

| I have an aluminum Schweinfurt from the serial numbers It comes from 1969. Was bought in Germany. It is unpainted. The only markings are "Torpedo" on the hub, and serial numbers. Tires are made in Austria "Semperit", size 28 x 1 5/8 x 1 3/8=700x 35 c. I can't find any pictures that look like this. It's a man's. Has an unusual handle bar shape. Any help on where to get more info would be great. |

| It is probably worth more than that if it is a 5 speed. You'll get a good response. A collector will buy it. Then you will see it on Ebay for a starting bid of $800.
People, always make sure you research your bike and know what it is worth. Lisa, you should at least know what year it is (look up the serial number on this site) |

| This seller agreed to sell this to a collector for $400.00 but then backed out of the deal to get more money. Needless to say the buyer was not happy, and the word of the seller is questionable. |

| That kinda of proves my point. Be sure you know what something is worth before you go to sell it. You may be too high and it won't sell, or you may be too low and someone else will grab your profit.
On another note, though. Once you make a deal, you need to stick to it. |

| I have a early 1950's Girls Westfield deluxe balloon tire bike. carrier, horn tank, chrome fenders. Missing headlight though. Has surface rust and rims are rusty, but overall very straight and clean and easy to restore or for parts.
