| I have a 1970 Chicago Suburban Schwinn bycicle. It was given to me by my grandfather. The seat is in perfect condition along with the paint. The new 27 X 1 1/4 tires are gum sidewall and it is a male frame. I am wondering what it is worth and if it is worth selling. ANY help would be great. |
WANTED: Info on Bridgestone kid's bikes

| Does anyone have any information on Bridgestone bikes made in Japan for kids? I have two girls' bikes-one white with 16 inch wheels and one black with 20 inch wheels. They both have fenders with Japanese characters hand painted on. They both have the full chainguard with hand brakes for front wheel and back drum. These were obviously used in Japan (one has an apparent bike license sticker with Japanese characters.) I have tried to investigage Bridgestone bikes but have found no info on such small bikes. They weigh a ton. I don't assume they are very old. I was wondering if they are of any value. |

| Please e- mail me your postal address and I can drop a catalog in the mail to you for free. This one catalog covers the kids stuff. Beyond that I don't know. |

| The stickers with Japanese lingo tells me it was brought over from Japan and thrown out when somebody outgrew it. So this was intended for their market, not ours. The catalog I have is Canadian, hollar if you want it. |
FOR SALE: PPV - 1970's Adult Pedal Car
posted by: Nick Hein
on 5/21/2002 at 5:52:02 PM
| Good Morning, I've just purchased a PPV pedal car that I stumbled across a few weeks ago. This is a 2-seat side-by-side adult trike with a full fiberglass body. A few years ago on this list another reader posted that they had just purchased 2 of them and was looking for parts and information on them. The poster's email address is no longer valid so I couldn't contact him. I am also looking for information including the builder, how many were made, and how many are still in use (and if there are others for sale - one former owner is interested in having another). If anyone knows of a good site for adult pedal cars I would also be interested in that.
Thank you. Nick Hein Renton, WA |

| Nick: I own 3 PPV's - 2 blue and white and 1 yellow and white. There was a cover story regarding these in the early to mid 1970's, either Popular Science or Popular Mechanics. I haven't taken the time to find the article, but when these units became available I just had to have them. Yours is the only other reference to these unique trikes I have found. |
