FOR SALE: Schwinn Paramount
posted by: Jim Laman

| I have a 1974 Schwinn Paramount P-13 road bike for sale (frame A7402). It is a 24" frame and is the original silver color with chrome Nervex lugs/fork ends. The bike is full Campy, including brakes, and has low-flange Campy hubs with sewn tires as well as extra 700C wheels and another set of sewn rims with tires on Campy hubs. I also have some extra unused sewn tires and the original Campy bottom bracket, as it now has a sealed Phil Wood unit (complete with tool) and some extra axles, etc. The frame is of course Reynolds 531 with chrome lugs, no rust, but a couple of minor scratches. The bike is in excellent condition and has been stored inside my house since new. I am a Factory trained Schwinn Mechanic who bought it new and took excellent care of it, but financial needs now dictate that I sell it. I have not taken any pictures of it yet, but intend to and can then scan them. I am asking $1295 + shipping.
Thanks,
Jim Laman Holland, MI 616-335-5215 lamanjim@juno.com |

WANTED: Info on a JCPenney 10 speed

| I picked this bike up for nothing, and spent about 4 hours restoring it to rideable condition. It has a JCPenney badge on the header tube, on top there was a sticker with a globe, topped by a crown, though that sticker has been mostly scraped off and I can't make out the wording. Model number 2015 is printed under the pedal bracket. Wheels are marked: SCHURMANN, Made in Germany, 27 x 1-1/4 After cleaning up the muck and replacing the brittle rotten tires, it's really in pretty good shape. The paint is fair, and I'd like to know whether it's a good idea to go ahead and paint the bike. I'd appreciate an email with some info, and thanks in advance.

| Concider the bicycle in a 1 to 10 condition on the paint 1 is solid rust and 10 is mint, most people have a different opinion on what is concidered to need to be restored, judge for yourself if you think it needs it,as far as diminishing the value of the bicycle to repaint it,10 speed bicycles are not as commonly collected as cruiser or muscle bicycles yet,and it may take a few years to get notority, however since you cared enough to rejuvinate it this far, painting it your favorite color wouldent be a bad idea, but fair warning these things are like potato chips, you cant stop at one usually. |

| Hello, I have a motorized bike I would like to sell, but I don't know much about it. I do know it has a tag on it that says American Bicizeta Inc. Also the engine says Zanetti C50 on the side. This engine sets on the front tire and drives it. This bike also comes apart in the center for easy hauling or storage. Does anyone know anything about this bike? |
