AGE / VALUE:   Bicycling Article (Bad for the environment) posted by: Larry "Boneman" Bone on 7/2/2007 at 8:02:38 AM
As promised in an earlier post... an article which is kind of interesting... fun... and with some rather dubious conclusions.

FWIW of course.

??? OK... so they've gone a bit silly of late... I've always been of a mind to conserve anything that costs ya know! ;-)

Be sure to substitute a "tilde" for the apostrophe before "ulrich". Now we need a study on how much less likely one is to dope slap a smarmy researcher if one is happier as a result of bicycling.

Ah... yes.. .I didn't look closely... the olde tilde substution.

As to the article... or "paper" or whatever... I surely hope the author had his tongue firmly planted in-cheek whilst composing it.

If he (or she) didn't.... well... let's just hope that's not at all the case.

I sure would have. I got a chuckle out of reading it for certain. Be it serious... or not.

Cheers!

It's gotta be twist on "A Modest Proposal" even though he seems to deny a Swiftian nature of the piece. What a crock...lets all eat KFC, drive Hummers, consume voraciously and save the world.
A new conservative mantra.

ENGLISH ROADSTERS:   Why you should go to yard sales posted by: RIP on 7/1/2007 at 9:14:59 PM
Went to a neighborhood yard sale a short distance from home, found a MINT 1974 Raleigh Sports, blue, hub stamped
12-73. The tires rotted, otherwise all original. I don't
think it was EVER ridden. The price...I don't want to make
anyone cry.

ENGLISH ROADSTERS:   baskets/child seat for Tourist? posted by: mike poole on 7/1/2007 at 8:03:56 PM
Good day, everyone. I've recently acquired a 1974 Raleigh Tourist and, of course, love it. Does anyone know offhand what racks/child carriers/front baskets will fit on this bike with the large 28" wheels and the rod brake hardware?

Thanks
