Summer's coming. Does anyone have thoughts about storing bikes with nice leather Brooks saddles in my garage where the temperature is often 100 degrees plus? Will that dry the leather out? Am I being silly? by: 72.12.200.38
The biggest problem for leather saddles is getting soaked and then drying out. I doubt the temperature itself will be trouble. by: 216.15.114.27
I agree with David, inside out of the sun's UV rays it should be just fine.Early morrning or late evening rides--will help keep it and you in shape. by: 68.90.181.92

I have a N.O.S. box full of caliper brake black rubber blocks. Orange box says Fibrax for Raleigh. Fibrax model 269 these are the caliper brake model brake blocks. I believe these are still quite usable. You will need the metal holders as these are replacement slide in type blocks. e- mail if you need a set. by: 66.51.146.59

Just bought an old Raleigh 3-speed. Frame serial # (under the seat) NS4 202 457--The hub says it's a '74 model, but I suspect that might not be the original. The headbagde says Nottingham England, any ideas how I could get the date of it's manufacture? Any information would be appreciated . william-grady@sbcglobal.net by: 70.136.142.213

I also acquired a 1960 Phillips 3 speed with the front badge noting "Birmingham"...It also has a badge imbedded on the rear fender. Badges appear to be copper or brass. Top tube seems to be abnormally bent, but I just seen a 1980 Raleigh 3 speed with the same style. 3 speed sturmey archer with coaster brake. Chrome fenders which are perfect. I know the 1980 Raleigh I was referring to is going mad on bidding on ebay right now. Only at $103.00, but 38 bids with 4 days left. by: 75.70.213.203
