| Hi there, I've just acquired an Hercules (Birmingham built) bike with A Sturmey Archer K6 Hub, fully enclosed chain guard, original cable brakes etc and was wondering where the serial number of the bike is located so that I can hopefully work out the age. | Re Hercules serial number question - I've found it ! It turned out to be KE 6465 stamped on the near-side hub bracket. I found it by accident as I was struggling to line the wheel up properly having just put a new innertube in, this seemed to have upset the K6 hub slightly and spent the next two hours messing about with this having spent ten minutes putting a new tube in ! | Hello I recently purchase an Mens 10 Speed Humber LTD Riviera oad bike. It has 27" wheels and it appears to be from the 70's or 80's. I cant find any info on it at all. | Hello Mike, Its probably a badge engineered Townsend or Falcon, not a Raleigh. I believe the Humber name stayed in Barton upon Humber with the Townsend and Falcon / Claude Butler brands.
