Hello folks, I came across an old motorscooter and am have a lot of trouble finding the name of it, and would post a photo of it if I know how but here are some clues. It has a Briggs&Stratton Model Y engine, and according to the company it was Mft in July of 1935, so we are talking about a very old scooter, it is likly a 1hp or 2 at most. If anyone would like a photo I would be happy to send it too you if you would contact me at my email adress. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you Fred

MOTORIZED BICYCLES:   What kind of motor is this? posted by: Gordon Bullis on 9/10/2008 at 10:27:35 PM
Hi. I picked up an old moped a while back (I see from my previous post that it was 2 or 3 years ago) and finally started to work on it. Here's a pic of the motor. Can anyone tell me who made the motor, as the moped is an oddball (Mo-Pet)?

MOTORIZED BICYCLES:   vintage petrol bicycle engine posted by: emma on 8/25/2008 at 12:25:38 PM
I have recently acquired an old petrol bike engine which you attach to a bicycle. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it is called. It has a blue petrol tank, an engine and a vicious looking cog which turns the back wheel. It also has a licence plate attached to the back of the petrol tank.
