Hi, I found a "mystery" bike in the garbage (?!), and I'd like to find out what it is. It has all kinds of good parts on it, like Tange forks, Araya rims with Sunshine hubs, etc. It looks kind of "Mongoose-like", but it's not. I've been told it looks like everything from a CW to a Raleigh to a Race, Inc., but I haven't found an exact match. I put a little page together for it here. If anyone can tell me what it is, I'd sure appreciate it. Seems like a nice cro-mo old school race. Here's the link: http://www.bloodspoint.com/bike/bike.html Thanks in advance, Sean
Looks like a Schwinn to me.
I think it maybe a mongoose. Look for sales on ebay and compare the pictures on there to yours. I should get you in the ball park.
in good condition! email me if you have some...
Tryed to walk away but had to return and buy the cast alum.wheels.They are Lester brand,5 point star mag style that I though will make a great lookin custom bike if I blast and polish them. They have a suntour coster in the rear wheel, not just a freewheel. So or they new-old-good or junk?----sam
I have the same question. Please let me know if you recieve any helpful info. I have Schwinn bike 80's cro-mo I'm trying to identify with little luck. I will try to post a picture soon. I just want to know if I should restore it or let my son ttear it up. Any resources?
I've learned if you don't get a responce you "an't got nuttin".So have fun with it,The mags will make a cool custom bike,Maybe I'll put them on a folder and take it the the car shows with me!
I am unloading some Haro's guys. 85 white Group1 new decals frame only, 87 Group 1 F&F blue/blackchrome,87 FST chrome no decals frame,86 FST chrome with faded decals frame,88 FST green F&F or complete if wanted, also Haro 2 finger brake levers
Hi. I saw your posting about Haro BMX bikes and I wonder if you could help me. I found an FSX in the rubbish a few years ago and I just put it together and was wondering if you know how old it might be. Is the FSX like the FST you mention in your posting? The bike is blue and black and has both front and rear brakes. It had no wheels on it when I found it. The top tube of the frame splits into two side-pieces by the seatstay and the chainstays are bent in and out, apparently on purpose. Front fork has a hole on each side for pegs or something... Any idea how old it might be or if it's worth anything? Someone offered to buy it the other day and I'd like to have an idea. Thanks.
Elvis- It's probably a 1987. FST/FSX's were entry level, but I rode one for a while when I found one for cheap from a buddy. I really liked it, and rode it from 1988-1993. The forks arent designed to take huge amounts of jumping, but I never had problems. I like them alot, esp. the 1988 model. The FSX shipped with 6 spoke Skyway mags, by the way... -Mike
Thanks! P.S. - I'm gonna have lots more questions. In about half an hour I'm going to pick up a whole garage full of old school BMX bikes some old guy is throwing out. I'm so excited I can barely sit still in front of the computer! I didn't get a good look at the bikes before, but I say a Redline that's got everything except the seat and a boatload of what look like old 78-1980's mongoose frams... [there's also a RollFast cruiser that looks like its from 1940's but that's for another message board....] Vaya con dios, thanks for the info! --Elvis
