this one might be a little off the mainstream but.... does anyone have any pictures of the following 2 bikes? hutch jet (1989) and a special edition gold hutch trickstyler from `89 (might be called a trickstar 2) any help with these would be greatly apreciated. thanx in advance....
Not the greatest photo, but here's the little piece on the Trick Styler that ran in American Freestyler, or one of those other pathetic excuses for a magazine: http://www.geocities.com/not_eddie_roman/trickstyler.jpg But better, here's the ad for it (much better photos): http://www.geocities.com/not_eddie_roman/hutchadbig.gif And best of all, the original: http://www.geocities.com/not_eddie_roman/trickstarflavors.gif
i`d lik to thank "not eddie roman" for the links to those pics,it is very useful info and now i know what to look for.BTW, do you have any info on the "jet"? thanx a bunch again, (from a happy hutch collector).
Looking for Race Inc. f/f decal set. Still looking for Race Inc. f/f kits or any Race Inc. parts
Hey, Could anyone tell me the value of my proline 800p? It has- Powerlite Pro bars, Dia-Compe MX brakes, Padded Viscount seat, Redline stem, Suzue sealed 36's, Redline Forks. It came with a 3-pc., but is now on my old master along with the Old profile spider and Pro Neck USA. What year does it soundlike? Is it USA made? Also, any other info will be greatfully accepted.

This guy emails me & says he gotta pair of Mastersports but that they gotta be rebuilt. It's been my experience that mag wheels are pretty much done when the guts go out but Skyways did have a repair kit for Tuff wheels. Does anyone know if these wheels can be saved with a regular ball bearing repair kit. Romero
I can not believe how tense and irritable you guys are over a bunch of old bikes. You need to chill. Hey Mark M. from GA, Are you really starting a fan club? Do you still have the 1985 GT Pro Performer? Dominguez rode for Vans before Haro. He was cosponsored by Dyno. Fiola rode for Haro then for Morales-Fiola with those cool MF "superman style" logos. GT was his next stop. How about Micki Conti and her traveling circus. Jumpin' Jim Pratt really could jump, honest. R.L. was in the closet and Buff was truly a fluff, and one other thing, CLEVELAND ROCKS!!!!! Peace Boys and Girls!!!!!!
Wassup relaxed bmxer, I use to see that MF logo on Fiolas walls whenever BMX Plus! interviewed him at home & you're right, it was in the superman shaped thing, always wondered what is was. I knew I remembered seeing Mike Dominguez in a Dyno jersey one time. Do you know the answer to the folowing: The first backflip in BMX Plus! This guy rode for Hutch & was on the cover upside down in 85. I remember because his bike was like dark red with black Skyway Tuff wheels on it, juss can't remember the guys name. Also who did Fred Blood ride for before he joined General. Never been to Cleveland, but the Indians are one my favorite ball clubs. Stay Laxed, Romero
Jose Yanez was flippin' SE was the company that had that 8 wheeler fool, Fred Blood riding for them. What was Freds other wheeled passion? Did you know who did the stunt flipping for Cru Jones?
Cleveland does Rock. I used to live in Lakewood, and I found some of my greatest old school bmx and freestyle finds in Lakewood and Garfield Heights. The only items I left were a bunch of NOS sets of Safelite Mag-lite wheels (junk) and lavender CW seats. As far as the fan club, I couldn't find anyone interested. I thought the guy was cool...LOL. I have the most perfect NOS 85 GT Pro Performer frame and fork set with the round Santa Anna stickers on it, but I can't find any of the appropriate parts. I did find an NOS GT block stem in silver, but that is about it. I'll concentrate on my 85 RL 20 II for the time being. Mark
SSup Laxed BMX'er, Seen Rad a million times & I can tell you for sure that Eddie Fiola was Bill Allen's (Cru Jones) stunt double for that movie. My favorite part of the movie is the opening sequence. Just in case someone wants the names of all those historic riders: My Freestylin Hero Ron Wilkerson-Blue Haro Sport on GREY MasterSports, R.L. Osborn-Yellow R.L. 20 II, Martin Aparijo-Chrome GT Performer???, Brian Blyther-Red Haro FST, Eddie Fiola-White GT World Tour, & I think Mike Dominguez was the other Haro rider in the skatepark with the black Tuff wheels. You know what, the movie's ending really pissed me off, what moron in his right mind would stop the way Bart Taylor did & practicaly give away a major payday like that. At least there was justice right afterwards when his lard butt boss told him he would never work again, at least not with a major sponsor. Have you ever seen an 80's movie called BMX Bandits, Nicole Kidman was in it along with two unknown's all on Mongooses with Tuff wheels.

I'm using a sorry compaq, that's the reason for the double post mishap. Don't know the answer to the Fred Blood question. Romero
Eddie may have done the regular riding but you buddy, none other than Jose Yanez did the flip stunt work. Eddie was not that F@#%ed up.
I stand corrected.
don't call romero a loser. i think he is rad. there is a rumor going around that he is building quite the nice old school freestyle bike collection. word on the street is that he already has four out of the five 'major' old company's bikes. if he can just find that hustler pro model. the one that R.L. rode.
i just sold the bike you are referring to....it was black with red stickerset--hustler pro,and was in fair condition......said general with RL signature too....i collect oldschool redlines...and i have only seen that one onad one other aqua green one that i had about three years ago,but was not a pro model.....anyways,sold the hustler for 125........just thought i would let you know....and cool topics too, from both of you guys....Rad is awesome.......from another oldschooler,--cheers,Rob

you have some very cool parts. I am very interested in the GT Framestanders for sure. Possibly a deal for the Ukai rims with sealed GT hubs. Are the hubs white as well? How about the rims? let me know jeff
How soon do you need the cash for the Skyway Tuff IIs
I'll take the Tuffs
My dad just got a used set and I want to know when they were made, if you can get new racings, and what is the best way to maintain/tune up a coaster brake hub. Thanks for your time.
How Much is my 88 Master worth? It has- Old Redline Flight 3-pc., Peregrine Pedals, Dominator seat+GT laid back seatpost, gyro, 990 dia-compes. old haro bars, Group1 stem, skyway 6-spoke mags,no stickers & frame is 100% rust free.It has an old Dyno fork with old gt fork standers.(I plan to get an original Master fork w/ builtin standers.)
SSup Keith, Hey man another guy with a Master a year older than yours sold his for around $300.00 on classifieds2000.com not long ago. Yours is right up in that area especialy since you got a Flight 3pc crank on it. Those things never seem to wear out. Keep a lookout on ebay for that Haro Master fork, it'll come up sooner or later you just gotta be patient.
Hey, I saw that Master w/ 3pc. on ebay. That guys frame is identical to mine; I also took the paint off to reveal the awsome 4130 cromoly finish. Well anyway, His cranks are a little different than mine. The Redline 185mm arms on my master have no pinch bolt. Are those flight cranks? Also It has a profile spider with a 43 tooth pro neckUSA, Instead of the redline 4 spoke chainwheel. I think that it was switched out before I bought my redline proline 800p. maybe my cranks are a later version.
do the crank arms still have stickers?
Yes, It has old aqua-blue Redline stickers ,same color as the frame.
i havent seen the cranks you are refering to, but i can tell you that the early flights had no pinch bolts.
The cranks on your Master are Redline 400 Flight cranks. The 401 Flight crank had the pinch bolt. That crank was OEM from Haro. I have the Haro catalog from that year (with Ron Wilkerson, Bryan Blyther, and Dave Nourie's autographs on it) to verify this.
looking for tange tx 1200 fork
Looking for a NOS or near mint mini Uni Seat in black or blue. Would prefer the one with a fiberglas post. Need for an old school resto on a Hutch Lil' Holeshot!! Thanks Tim Corn
Man that was fast. Just minutes ago, I logged onto ebay & typed in Haro Sport & there it was complete & with Peregrine 48's. Somebody MUST'VE read what I put on here because I got it for a high bid of $380.00. Now all I need are some black, grey, or white Sportmaster mags.
You paid too much for a bike that does not have the original Peregrine 48s, rear brake, and tires. To top that off, there is rust on it. Sorry to hear about you bad luck there, ace. You paid to much, and I am truly sorry. You'll get em next time chief...Hang in there... Bikersbestfriend
You're right man, that guys reserve was around $200.00 which was all I thought the bidding for it would go. But it didn't, it's OK though see because vintage Pro Bmx Bikes are like vintage hot rods. Some people spend alot of unnescesary money restoring hot rods & so is also the case with BMX Bikes. The 1987 Haro Sport is sooo hard to find, especialy complete & from the photo's in pretty decent shape that I had to get it. Now if the bidding had gone over $400, I might've had to bail out. I'm a mechanic, so hey, what ever's wrong with it, i'll fix. Romero
87 Sports are not that hard to find. Yours will be a disappointment. I guarantee it. Matt
Whoooaaahh! Ya guarantee it huh? You must be the guy that knows the guy, that knows the guy, thats selling the bike. I'm really scared because obviuosly you have called or emailed him & told him to damage it beyond restoration. Maybe now I shouldn't get it. Luckily I haven't sent the money order yet. I'll have him put it back on ebay for some other fool to burn his hard earned dollars on, then i'm gonna take the money I would have used on the bike & invest it in your bike company. Romero
What I wanna know is how in the hell Matt can guarantee Romero's bike will be a disappointment. The only thing I can think of is like Romero said, Matt must know the seller or maybe he IS the seller. What ever the scenario, I think that's a crappy thing to say. Hey Romero, if you're having second thoughts on the bike, I'll take it off your hands no problemo. LOTNS!
JMC F/F for sale- Not cheap
Hi all, I am looking for a F/F, color scheme is not important, paint can be an option, just as long as it is not bent, bashed or broken. I am looking for a replacement bike to ride, not a collector. Thanks! Mike
Hey man, there's a Haro Master on ebay right now for $200.00. The guy said it's late 80's & it's completely chrome. You may wanna check it out.
You and and some unknown outbid me on that Sport... check the their name! I just emailed him the other day. That Master is sweet- I have my bid in on that as well... take care!
There's a chrome complete Hutch Trickstar on ebay right now. The pictures show it to be in near mint condition, the bidding is currently at $660.00.
o.k. the pictures of that hutch indicate nothing. the bike could have rust on, and you would never know. the pictures aren't even that detailed. you can't even see the downtube sticker. how can you claim that the pictures show the bike to be in near mint condition?
Upon further SOBER examination, you're right, false alarm.
