I have recently purchased a 1944 Roadmaster Deluxe. It needs some TLC. I am looking for someone in the Raleigh area. Any advice on who could help. Also any suggestions on new tires and where to get em would be greatly appreciated!

HF-151-B, Rear Hub - Eclipse Machine Division, Elmira, NY
36 13 P2, Rear Tire - 27x1-1/4" HF 151-B, Front Rim - RIGIDA 27X1-1/4(hp)made in France, Rear Rim - same....single speed, calipher brake....I cannot come up with anything....interested in the mfg. being Columbia ROPE MANUFACTURING COMPANY....THANKS

Any chance that could be Pope and not Rope? I believe Columbia and Pope are somehow tied together in the bike building industry.

Pope model numbers are in numerical order, a model 49 would be very early, around the turn of the century. The components you discribe are MUCh newer. You may have a very early frame that has been recently modified with incorrect parts. Post a picture.

As noted above, you don't have the original wheels, but it should still be of interest to a collector. You could contact the Wheelmen, or Copake Auctions and see what they think.
