Hi, Can any one help me date a ELGIN ( sears collegiate badge)The frame is straight from the crank to seat and it has a long tank. It has tabs for a rear stand.It is a prewar model serial # SD 20725 Thanks

from yesterday I am proud to be the owner of a simplex byke. As fas as I know your serial number does not have letters and only has 5 digits. It means I think it was manufactured between 1950 and 1953 since it was 1953 when introduced the 6 digits.

That is the length of the frame tube that goes from the pedals to the seat.
