I just aquired a ladies Evans Commamder. It is missing the wheels. First of all, I'm wondering where I might find wheels that would be appropriate for this bike. I'm guessing they're 26 inch, but I'm not sure. Would they have been chrome or painted? It looks alot like the mens vesrion in the photo archive with similar fenders, head badge, rack mount (rack is missing), chain guard and graphics on the tank. What years were these made? I've linked to a picture if it helps.

i have acquired this columbia clipper 18" 10-speed cruiser. it looks pretty old, but im not sure, i don't know much about bicycles. im not sure where to find a serial number, i looked around the frame a bit and didn't notice one. does anyone know anything about this bike?

I believe that would be a 1963. "L" would be November and "3" for 1963. There were only 5 numbers in the 1953 serial numbers.

sturmey-archer.com lists phone and mail contacts for S-A USA. For that vintage there should be no significant difference between NOS and NS.
