I have a Schwinn bike that has a chainguard for a Mark IV Jaguar, serial number F977033 (located on the left drop down), coaster brake, single speed, tank with horn, chrome fenders, and I believe the s2 rims (no tires are on it). Is this a 1959 - and what is the correct model? by: 66.141.119.239
Yes, in June of '59. by: 199.179.239.44
Does anyone have any information on a bicycle made by fleetwing? The brass badge on the front fork tube has a wheel with wings as well as the name Fleet Wing and what appears to be an 'A' in a circle on the bottom right corner. It has the balloon tires (2.25, 'The Silver Star Tire' on the sidewall), and a tank with horn, the color of this bike is black with what appears to be a feather design on the fenders (white outlined in red. The rear wheel has an adjuster on each side for alignment and chain tension (I'm assuming), and the fender brackets have an arch not straight like most 50's bikes.I'm guessing the 40's?? by: 66.141.122.217
I also have a fleetwing bike I have been looking for years for info and have found very little. I work in a bike shop and all the books i come across have nothing. If you have any info please write. The man that gave me the bike said it was 40's. thats all I know. thanks by: 71.213.246.10

I have a 1954 Schwinn Black Phantom that is in very good original shape. I was wondering what are the correct pedals for my bike. Are they suppose to be the Schwinn AS pedals or perhaps a Torrington #10? Did all phantoms have AS pedals on them with the deluxe rubber blocks? by: 72.24.250.5
