hey, everybody i just picked up this bike from the junk and was wondering if it was worth it. it has ballon tires with little dryrot, red paint is ok,only needs a seat and post. its a schwinn heavy duti says on the chain guard. has thick spokes. i am just wondering if it is even worth messing with or if its worth anything to anyone. please help me. thanks! by: 209.103.222.221
your bike is not as old as some but still a nice bike and people are interested in them. you should fix it up and ride it. also it would be a good candidate for one of the chinese engines. the heave construction is good for that. hope this helps. Scott by: 71.108.82.200
Ihave three Heavy Duti frames: a black '66 I Phantomized w/ hubcaps, tank w/ buzzers (a repro & a '64 original), a chameleonized headbadge, a chrome chain, & a set of chrome 68-spoke Daytons wrapped in whitewall tires (the OG wheels & tires were already gone!); a black '68 w/ only the fork, crank, Quality decal (which is also intact on my six-six!),sprocket, & headbadge; & a lemon yellow '73 that I bought cheap simply because the front wheel was missing and the paint was ruined by a sloppy cream paintover. Just like any model Schwinn, they are worth investing time & effort into as well as its value depending on its condition. by: 199.179.239.2

Your bike was made by Evans. Its a 1957 Olymppic with "Evenaction Forks". The bracket above the forks held duel head lights. I don't know what ever happened to them by: 69.239.237.150

I have an old tandem bicycle. I would like to id this thing. I was told it is a Rollfast. It has a sloping top tube in the front and rear like a girls bike.I traced it back to a shop in the 1970s. They had a 3 wheel unit on the rear making it a 3 wheeler tandem. I dont know if this was original. The shop is long gone. It was a single speed no gearing. The org color is also long gone. I have tried to find a serial number but it might be under coats of paint. Is there a list of rollfast serial numbers I can look at. if I posted this in the wrong area please direct me to the correct area. TIA LC by: 172.131.0.196
