I have an oldschool tricycle with a differential and 3 speed all originally on it. Have no idea who made it, the serial is 9 004 1020. Who made tricycles with differentials. No one has been able to offer any info at all.

Restoring a 62 Schwinn American.I think it it has an aftermarket seat,on it not sure,no markings painted over.Seat is all black with monster springs,guessing from same time frame as the bike.
Did Schwinn put different seats on their bikes of this year
other thier colored seats with the S?

I don't recall actually seeing aftermarket seats on any Schwinn unless previous owners swap the O.G.'s for them, which is an unfortunately practice as common as the sloppiest paintover; I have a '61 American that not only had that sloppy paint job, but the saddle seat came w/ a chrome rail bar but no 'S' on it.
