I also have a Galaxie model identical to yours, and Huffy made them in the mid-60's between 1964 to 1966. Mine came with a badly warped and discolored bulb cover so I feel your pain there. There's no serial # chart for Huffys on this site, but you can call 1-800-USA-BIKE for serial # info.

If you're interested in finding out the exact year of your Galaxie, the the last digit of Huffy's year of manufacture can be determined by the serial #'s 1st digit.

Most likely you never will.Might find a photo in a catalog sometimes.Tandems were special order type bikes not many built. So they are rare but still not valuable just because of it.Put your best girl on it and ride--everone will wave at ya!

Why don't you cool it and wait patiently to find out when you go there?

Don't hold your breath and go digging up everything on the Schwinns of 1943 - for all you know their "1943 Schwinn" might be selling a Cruiser 7 or Rolling Rock that they've convincingly weathered by sticking it in their backyard with the weeds.

Have a bit of patience my good fellow.
