Hi: I would like to help but I need pictures of the bike.
I have 2 bikes and one is a schwinn 24inch and the # is DA25559 and the other bike is a 26 inch and the # is K842494 and both #s are on the back of the bike by the rear tire facing outwards I would like to know what kind of bike and year thanks
April, 65 and Nov, 58 respectively, according to the list. You can do this yourself; it's on this site.
Thanks ken
Hello; I have been looking for information for 2 bicycles that I've just purchased. Any information would be greatly appreciated. 1. A brown color J.C. Higgins with the following numbers on the bottom beneath the crank 56126 and xx50245701 (xx I could not read the first 2 digits). 2. A bright green ladies/girls Evans with H289273026 serial number.
i have a 1920s mead wooden wheel womens beast and i need to dump. it is a ok by me odd rear wheel, wooden seat damn, tires pump, pretty nice paint i want to sell
I would appreciate hearing from any old-timers out there who remember this colorful guy from when he represented New Departure in New Jersey for many years up to and including the 1940's.
Please do not rely on the internet to solve this one for you. You will have to go in person and search this one out.The old timers you seek are (mostly) not on the internet. They'll assume that the young whippersnapers won't know or won't care and that is wrong. No, You'll have to go digging the old fashioned way. It's a story I would love to hear!

Hello i need to know the value of a 1971 red Typhoon in good condition with minor scratches in the paint. and the value of a blue american from the 60's caue i cant read the the serial number . but the bike is in really good condition just needs some cleaning and i was wondering if i clened this american up what its value would be so please let me know the value. thankyou Eric
well here in wisconsin a typhoon from the 1970s will go for $20 unless its mint, then they may peek at $75. the american single speed is $10 to $40 in average condition but in mint may be from $75 to $150.
Even though I have seen them go for more on e-bay I sold a near mint typhoon last year for $65. I felt this was a little low.
I bought this bicycle in 1982 for 400.00 In San Antonio Texas. The biccyle store "bike world" was unwilling to help me with it in getting the original tires or finding its value can anyone tell me about it.
Is anyone familiar with a pre-war bicycle with a head badge that reads "Royal Flyer"...I recently picked one up that was built up with all Schwinn parts, new departure black-out rear hub, sweetheart skip tooth, schwinn springer, etc...looks like it may have had a whizzer at one time on the frame. Definatly not a Schwinn frame. Anyone know??
Did schwinn make a 1949 B6 bicycle that was blue and ivory in color? Did it have a springer front fork that locked? Serial number is located under the crank housing. Serial # is J09347
Yes and Yes. www.bunchobikes.com
Thanks for the information, very much appreciated. Kevin
I am looking for someone who has some information on a 1937 Columbia camelback singlebar bike. Did this bicycle originally have a chain guard and where could I purchase one? Also, who would have the best selection of parts for this bike? Any info. is appreciated. KB
I have always been under the impression that boys bikes did not have chain guards until 1939.
At www.nostalgic.net under photo arcive, go to literature.there you will find a 1936 columbia catalog that shows the New Era dropframe.Has no chain guard.
