  • Raleigh Sports with Benelux Cyclo conversion. 23" frame (measured from the top of the seat tube to the middle of the bottom bracket), Cycle is a 1969 but the rear hub is a 1965. 3-speed Sturmey-Archer AW hub (and the Benelux Cyclo conversion). Leather Brooks B-15 saddle. Good paint and decals, great chrome. All original and complete except new 26 x 1 3/8 tires and tubes, brake pads, hand grips. Miller generator, all lighting works.   • 1930s Raleigh. New 26 x 1 3/8 tires and tubes, new hand grips, new brake and gear cables, new brake pads, new front wheel. Upgraded brake calipers to use regular cables .vs. doubled-ended cables which are hard to find. 21" frame (measured from the top of the seat tube to the middle of the bottom bracket). Terry mattress saddle. Enclosed chaincase. Quadrant shifter. Sturmey-Archer AW-7 3-speed internally geared rear hub. A classic cycle turned into a reliable commuter cycle. $350

  • Early Roadsters. In my best Boston accent: Bahhn Fresh!.
    Just got back with a women’s loop frame Dutch roadster with 28” wheels and fender holes for a skirt guard. And a men’s Raleigh roadster with 28” wheels. Both look to be from the 1940s. We’ll know after we clean them up. –Vin
    Update: We cleaned up the woman’s loop frame. (photos and price coming) It turned out to be a much earlier Burgers ENR. This cycle and the Cleveland below were used in a TV pilot filmed in Boston in March. We'll see if they keep off the cutting room floor.

  • 1969 Raleigh Sports. 3-speed Sturmey-Archer AW hub. 21" frame (measured from the top of the seat tube to the middle of the bottom bracket). Leather Brooks B72 saddle. Original 26" x 1 3/8" Dunlop White Stripe tires in great condition. All original and complete except new inner cables and Kool Stop brake pads (this cycle stops on a dime and gives you back change). Great paint chrome and decals except someone etched their social security number on the chainguard. It’s faint, but you can see it (see photo). Saddlebag has some original paperwork in it.   • Cleveland. A guy came in to the shop with this Cleveland. He said he bought an old house and was running wires through the attic when he found this cycle tucked into one of the eaves. It will be for sale here soon. The wood rims and leather saddle are in great condition. We need to put on new (glue-on) 28” tires and go though the whole bike. It also might be used in a TV pilot being filmed in mid-March but in that case we’d have the cycle back by the end of March. -Vin

  • Pre-war Phillips. Single speed, Perry freewheel, Phillips Celtonia hubs. Rod brakes, some blackout parts. "L" shaped seat post. Leather Phillips hairpin saddle. Rear fender is not correct. Crank cotters were replaced at some point in the far past, but they are solid and I like the way they look. New 28" x 1 1/2" tires and tubes. Red and black accents on rims.   • 1960s Viking Super Sports. 23.5" frame (measured from the top of the seat tube to the middle of the bottom bracket). "Hand crafted by Viking" in Wolverhampton, England. Lambert branding. Frame: "1027 Alloy Steel used in most jet aircraft this special drawn tubing is made to British standard aircraft to spec NO 3T50 and American aircraft spec no Mil-T-6736A. This ultralight tubing contains -manganese-silicon-molybdenum-chromium-carbon-sulphur-phosphorus." . Shimano DURA-ACE front derailleur, Suntour bar end shifters and Suntour GT / Maeda Industries rear derailier. Unfortunately someone tried to touch up the paint in a few places apparently using a spray can, judging by the overspray on parts of the frame. Alloy handlebars, alloy SR stem. Shimano DURA-ACE alloy cranks. Font alloy "Death Fork" has been replaced. Lambert alloy brake calipers and levers. Sunshine hubs with Lambert quick release. Bluemels Popular fenders.   • Late 1950s Rochet Super Special 1957, give or take 2 years in either direction.
    We're selling it for the original owner. It was originally purchased in Michigan.
    The owner says it was a track bike which was converted for regular riding for - as she describes herself - a rich kid.
    I've only cleaned it up enough to read the markings. Otherwise it is untouched.

  • 1938 Raleigh Sports Model All original and complete except new 26 x 1 3/8 tires and tubes, new Continental Kool Stop brake pads, and the hand grips were replaced at some time in the past.
    Fair paint and decals. Paint has been touched up in a few spots.
    Decent chrome, except on the braking surfaces of the rims.
    This cycle should be ridden as a commuter bike for another 10 years, and then do a full restoration.
    There is an old brass screw in the Bottom Bracket oil port.
    The 3-speed Sturmey-Archer AW-8 hub oil port is missing its metal cap and is plugged with the classic rubber wedge.
    Tall 23 1/4 inch frame, measured along the seat tube.
    Sturmey-Archer top tube quadrant shifter.
    Leather Brooks saddle in decent shape was probably replaced about 40 years ago.
    Dunlop-stamped rims.
